Classical :D

But I also dabble in a bunch of steel-string shit, most of it being fingerpicking style.

I play anything I can get my hands on. Classical, Spanish, Rock, Film theme tunes, Ballads etc etc

Lol, I took a listen to your stuff Dreadnought and it was purely amazing, I like listening to people that aren't huge in the business, to me, people like you seem to play with more emotion and I love that.

I play blues, rock, pretty much anything, sometimes I'm heavy on the powerchords and the muting, I don't really play classical though, if I do it's the same stuff I would play on my steel string.

Thanks Athena!  I appreciate the compliment :cheers:Heh yes, ClaptonWannabe, thanks for making fun of my less-than-extensive use of diction :P

"To The Ocean and Back" is an example of what I do on a steel-stringEDIT: And a side-note, I don't play blues or jazz

What I mostly play is folk. My mother brought me up on that stuff. Joan Baez, the Mamas and the Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, Peter Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan, all that jazz (HAH! NO PUN INTENDED! too funny). The style grew on me and it's all up in my originals, now, too.

I'll do covers and vary the sound a bit with open chords and fingerpicking, but my originals are pretty folksy.

A big fingerpicking fan. I play a LOT of fingerpicking folk and blues tunes. I also do delve into strumming and stuff, which I also love, such as Lonnie Donegan stuff and whatnot. It depends on how I'm feeling and which guitar I want to play. Most of the time I pick up my acoustic and play some alternative stuff or mess around with finger picking patterns for different chord progressions. I'm mainly a chords man. I like using the acoustic to bring out my jazzy progressions. Sometimes I go into fingerpicking, but I can't really do anything too complex. Really I like messing with various chords till something sounds good. I'm mainly a chords man. I like using the acoustic to bring out my jazzy progressions. I usually play folky and bluesy kinda stuff (I get out all my rock anger on electric) and lately I've been pretty evenly split between using my fingers and pick. When I record I'll usually use an acoustic for rhythm and stuff and my telecaster for lead work. It depends how I'm feeling. But I love finger picking, probably because it was one of the first things I learnt, I find finger picking easier than strumming. It depends how I'm feeling. If I have no other instruments with me Ill just enjoy some finger picking, very slow and atmospheric. Otherwise Id strum some chords, make a short recording, and improvise over the top of them with some kind of woodwind. They always make acoustic riffs sound so much more natural and peaceful. I really like pop/rock, slightly jazzy, breezy sounding stuff, folk tunes and anytihng with a funky rhythm to it. I mostly fingerpick and strum without picks. I used to always have to have a pick to play and I like not caring about that. I write my own stuff but the songs I cover are from artists like Corinne Bailey Rae, John Mayer, MYMP, and peeps like them. I'm a beginner finger picker, though I play all sorts of songs. Finger picking is my thing though since I'm not keen on the feel of a standard pick. I'm a beginner finger picker, though I play all sorts of songs. Finger picking is my thing though since I'm not keen on the feel of a standard pick.

Classic rock, folk, folk-rock... mostly covers. A lot of my favorite songs are transposed from piano; they sound especially nice on a 12-string. Lately I've been learning more finger-picking, I tend to switch between that and just strumming (sometimes mid-song) to kind of liven things up a bit. Classic rock, folk, folk-rock... mostly covers.
