no really, I play acoustic about 30-40% of the time. The only reason I don't play it more often is that distortion kicks ass, and I like to move around when I play and an acoustic just doesn't feel right when not sitting... for me anyways

there are plenty of songs that sound great on acoustic & electric. Take Lil Devil from The Cult for example.

I got into guitar because of metal, but my dad convinced me to start on acoustic. At the time, for some reason I also had the impression that I should start on acoustic, maybe because it's what I used for a few lessons in primary school that went nowhere, and I knew nothing about electrics. So I got a Fender acoustic, and these days my music tastes are much more expanded, but still love metal/hard rock, but there's nothing like strumming an acoustic.

I've had eletric guitars but i've setteled on accoustic there is nothing like pulling out ur accoustic anywere and playing not haveing to worry about extension cords and patch cords.
