Guitar through bass amp?

metallicaddict

Hi,
I currently own an Ashdown EVOII bass rig (pic in profile) that's left over from when I used to play bass. I'm still using it to play my guitar through (I've now completely switched to electric guitar), and to be honest, it sounds pretty decent.
The cleans sounds great through it, and the light OD setting are very good as well, but I like to use a decent amount of gain most of the time.
However, now that I have a REALLY nice guitar, I'm thinking of selling it and buying a guitar rig. Do you guys think it's worth it? Or should I just find a really good distortion pedal and use that? (the one I'm using at the moment is fairly crappy, but it's all I have to get any high-gain sounds).

Its all up to you, really. If you think you will ever switch back to bass then you may wanna keep it. However, there are few distortion pedals that actually sound good, and the ones that do are rather pricey. Its all up to you, really.
