awesome concerts

dan_d_superman

tell everyone about your amazing concert experiences or an upcoming one you would like to talk about.

i have been to three concerts this year, all of which were in the own way awesome. i went to roger waters (pink floyd practically), slayer and heaven and hell (black sabbath + dio).

Roger Waters was my first concert ever and was a good one to start it off. typical pink floyd, serene music with awesome sound quality. The concert was at members equity stadium which was an outdoor venue. Lots of trippy visuals projected onto a screen with two giant screens either side of the stadium for close ups of the band playing for those who couldn't see. Lots of marijuana smoke was to be found. i took a way a small tour shirt (they only had one size left) 7/10

Slayer was my second concert and was fucking awesome all the way through. I was right at the front row in the "crush" and i thought it was pretty wild during mastadon's opening. Then when slayer was about to come on everyone packed tighter then my sister's jeans, which look great on me by the way (lol emo song joke). It was held at robinson pavillion in a little tin shed which was a pretty crap sound quality. but the crowd were responsive, there were people climbing bars on the ceiling and i saw a bleeding eyeball and some drunk yelling "KILL A CHRISTIAN!" it was pretty intense. I bought the christ illusion album. 6/10

Heaven and hell concert was at challenge stadium and was by far the best of the three concerts i've been to this year. Down was supporting and the crowd were pretty responcive, was a good band to open the night. Then Heaven and Hell started and the mosh grew. The ambience of the room provided nice reverb and the musical quality of the whole band was great. Dio sung like a god as usual and the instrumentalists played an awe-inspiring set. highlights for me were dio's singing and vinny appice's drum solo. other standouts were geezer's flange on his bass and iommi's awesome guitar playing ability. i bought the limited edition dvd/cd set. 12/10 performance.

I also have gold tickets to iron maiden, my favourite band in the world. can't wait til february. it's gonna be awesome. bruce is gonna be flying his custom boeing down under WOOP. last time they came to aussie was apparently 15 years ago.

the beautiful girls were good but as i said didnt engage the crowd
blue king brown were AWESOME and they gave the crowd a number to text if they wanted to join a thing they had that was helping people less lucky
