Slap Definately. The Rythms, Guitars seem to have straight rythms while we have our syncopated rythms and such. The fact that you're not always as easily heard, makes it harder to stay on track, or the fact that we can be the ONLY thing heard, and CAN'T MESS UP.
Being the link between the main rythm (drums) and the lead (guitar)

i still say people don't understand the full potential of the bass. i frequently utilize slap/tap solos that not only look cool but also add a whole other depth to the sound that even many of my guitarist friends find difficult to replicate. |

i think the amount of control is part of it. The neck can seem pretty long and it can be hard to jump around on it. |
