Hi,
my BJ is my first gig amp now , and i have some other ( good) amps. Why ? : My back is happy :) and this baby don't take a lot of place in a car ( nice also for a "stereo player"), The sound is really great with any pickups and stompbox , the power is enough for any situation ( imagine with two...), not big price for the tubes remplacement ( when you play a lot.....), and is a tank. Ok the reverb is noisy at low level, and with one channel, sometime you do have a disto in your bag, but i had tried the mesa express for the facility of this multi channel amp and i prefer the sound quality of the BJ ( If the Bj reverb is noisy... :D ). Change the speaker if you want, buy a nice tube disto and a nice reverb and look the price of all and compare with the price of the express for example . Today it is no longer necessary to have big amplifiers even for large stages ( put a mic in front) and even for a professional in most cases it plays in clubs or small and medium stages, I have also a hot rod deluxe, a nic

Just got one and modded it so I can bias each tube individually. Can anyone recommend a replacement OT to improve the tone?

Just picked one up yesterday, actually traded another amp for a BJ and $50 bucks. ^That sounded seedy, sorry. Anyway - mine is unmodd'd, so I am looking forward to messing around with it.

I love my blues junior. Awesome tube tone, portable, and loud enough to gig with! Also, the reverb is godly.

Just got my NOS Blues Junior yesterday. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out that a pre-amp tube had fallen out when I turned it over (they ship them upside down so that the tubes don't fall...This is probably common sense to most of you guys, but I'm new to tube amps :p ). Once I found the tube lying inside the amp, I installed it, and within minutes had amazing tone and clarity flowing through the room.

To say the least, I'm absolutely thrilled with my first tube amp :D

Lo guys, figured you'd be the people to ask:

Anyone know where I can get a Jr in tweed (the NOS model, right?) in the UK? Soundsliver is the only online place google is bringing up and its listed as 'no longer available'

Cheers.

to me, it kills a lot of tone if im just playing it at bedroom volume with the BJ cranked. i modded my BJ enough to get okay sound from bedroom volume. :p:

when mic'ing my amp tho, my mic picks up more treble, so it equals out. i can record my BJ cranked without worrying about the treble loss. :)

Hey EC, hows that Weber Mini-Mass with your BJ? I'm looking to get one soon, does it kill any tone or anything major I should know about?

if it's just the reverb tank, probably not.

Yeah, I'll check that. I don't know much about amps when it comes to the inner workings or anything...

Do I just connect the springs and everything, and will I mess anything up if I make a wrong move?
