Walnut with birdseye maple fretboard, hardrock maple neck.

If I get another carvin, it's definatly going to be in dragonburst.

Yeah, I'd go dragonburst too, but I believe that costs more than your average finish (I could be mistaken)

And I really want a tung oil neck, and I think when the body is finished and the neck isn't it looks pretty stupid on a neck through.

I have to swap the speakers in the cab. I am not a fan of the 75's.

Any suggestions?

I've never heard anyone complain about V30's but the speakers I've been eyeing are the EarCandy Green Machines. I've never heard anyone complain about V30's but the speakers I've been eyeing are the EarCandy Green Machines.

I prefer Eminece Legends over the V-30s but having 2 of each is the best tone I've come across. I prefer Eminece Legends over the V-30s but having 2 of each is the best tone I've come across.

there's coil split switches, phase switch, and active boost/cut eq. Then just your standard tone volume and pickup switch. It's pretty nifty ahahaha.. ahem. there's coil split switches, phase switch, and active boost/cut eq. Then just your standard tone volume and pickup switch. It's pretty nifty ahahaha.. ahem.

Hydra, your V is fucking gorgeous. Absolutely excellent choice of the blackburst, dark purple, looks like triple step, flamed top, and the gold hardware. Looks like a royal guitar! What woods n' such did you choose. Hydra, your V is fucking gorgeous. Absolutely excellent choice of the blackburst, dark purple, looks like triple step, flamed top, and the gold hardware. Thanks mesa (omg, there's a guitar we both like? lol) I did indeed do the triple step finish. I always liked that color combo and they nailed it perfect. If they woulda done it just a little too light, it woulda looked really... uhh... feminine. So I was relieved ;)

went with mahog neck, mahog wings, maple top. Standard lp kinda wood config. Ultimately, i like the showy looks but i'm pretty down to earth when it comes to tones. Stayed away from alder cos i figured the strat/jackson sound really wasn't for me. Also, had to option 50 an extra volume knob because master volume is not for me. I like to blend my pup volumes.

Can't seem to get the img feature to work here. Have a shot of the back here.
