who agrees? anyone who's listened to the 24 caprices can simply laugh in the faces of shredders. And those are technically exercises..

Hell yes, bro!  Sure I can play part of 24 on guitar and do crap like that, but hell, I played the 5th back in my violin days.  More rewarding experience, I'll tell you that now. they're even better in person. My teacher once played 1, 2, 4 (my favorite), 10, and 24 for me. It was just incredible. they're even better in person. My teacher once played 1, 2, 4 (my favorite), 10, and 24 for me. It was just incredible.

^Full speed? W/e that is... Probably about 150 bmps no? I can do like 100-110.I used to know 16th caprice which I recommend for anyone. It's mellow yet sad. And not too hard. I know 24th now, but theres always things to brush up on, and before anyone's impressed, I don't play the 2nd variations with grace notes, just straight triplet arpeggios. Fail.

EDIT: I was actually in the process of recording but my amp was messed so I should have one when I get the amp back from the store.

Huh... ok then lol. That's pretty much impossible lol. Even the version Jason Becker does is kind of unfair because he uses the higher octave, equals easier stretches. But I'm not complaining. If you had Rusty Cooley's 8-string, you could play the whole range of the piece. :D If you had Rusty Cooley's 8-string, you could play the whole range of the piece. :D
