Best Bassist

Page/Rhoads

Who was the best bassist of this era? John Paul Jones (especially on the first 2 Zeppelin albums), Geezer Butler, Roger Glover (solo in Pictures of Home), Gene Simmons (great basslines), and I know Iron Maiden was more eighties, but they were still around in the seventies and Steve Harris is one of the best around.  Who was the best bassist of this era? Not exactly 60s-70s, but Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers) and Todd Smallie (Derek Trucks Band) are great bassists too. I love their style of playing.
