good guitar songs

Hey ladies,

I know theres already a few threads for this in the main forums but I wanted to get some girl's opinions on playing the guitar. Try to think of it in an unbiased way, like try to look from several different points of view of different girls that dont play guitar or like the same music you do or etc. So, if youre going to play a song, its best to use acoustic (generally speaking), right? What songs are good that would definently impress? How about singing while playing the guitar? I mean, my voice is okay in my opinion but it might actually sound terrible so is singing still a good idea in that case? I could only imagine if they viewed it as "Oh its the thought that counts" or something like that.

So any other suggestions would be cool. Preferrably from girls, Ive already heard opinions from guys on this.

Angels Cry- Red Jumpsuit

My Herat- Paramore

Thunder- Boys Like Girls

thoz r the only onez i think of at the moment. if u wanna sing thn ur best bet wuld b Angels Cry or Thunder. My Heart has very strong female vocals and sum screamo toward the end so just playing it wuld be fine. Angels Cry and Thunder also sound rlly good on acoustic.

i wuld also say finding out her fave song thn learning to play it jus for her, no matter the diffulculty level. but thts jus one girlz opinion.

i like this thread. but RJAs singer is impossible to match. i could never get away with a good rendition of Angels Cry or maybe Your Guardian Angel. i like this thread. but RJAs singer is impossible to match. i could never get away with a good rendition of Angels Cry or maybe Your Guardian Angel.

The only songs I've ever had work are:

1) My own. Especially if they're funny.
2)Flight of the Conchords
3) Stuff they can sing with you (I like musical girls. I can't help it) especially songs like "It ain't Me Babe,"

Whats with all the new music? I never really considered screamo to win a girl's heart, personally i can't stand the genre, but its the older songs that have so much more soul in them, i play Baby I Love Your Way by Peter Frampton and Every Rose Has It's Thorn by Poison, Blackbird by the Beatles and Tears in Heaven by Eirc Claption. All of them seem to really get to people. If i want to make her laugh i just play simple chords and make up words as i go, which is usually funny no matter what. i kno im not a girl, but i kno these songs work. good luck.
