divinorum69 wrote on Jul 7th, 2008 7:40pmOne of the best purchases I made: Rp250 for 150 dollars, bought it on Manhattan Union Square's Guitar Center! It was my first time on such a giant guitar shop like that it is so big compared to those here in argentina!
Also here in argentina the RP250 is worth 300 dollars!

@ Hakael: Has your warranty expired yet? It does last for a year although you can always call DigiTech to see if they offer repairs for a fee. How exactly is your RP250 not functioning?

I simply lost any and all ability to either record through the computer, or hear anything through it. It's NOT a manufacturer defect though. It got physically damaged . I've been entertaining other ideas regarding recording... Lightsnake I have now (and will probalby sell), and contemplating a Guitar Rig package. Just don't want anyone to take it wrong, because I didn't dislike the RP250 at all. I may still get another one because it was easy to take with me to friend's houses without having to lug around my pedal board. Anyways, nice to still see the group running!

nght5tlkr wrote on May 6th, 2008 8:04pmCongratulations on your new pedal!
Don't forget to properly update the RP250 and your computer before connecting them together. The instructions on how are posted a few comments below.
As for the progress of my settings, I'm still in the process of remaking them and adding new ones. I just haven't found a decent amount of time recently to work on the RP. I'll have them up as soon as I can if anyone is actually interested. quote |
Fritz621 wrote on May 6th, 2008 3:11pmWell everyone i asked my mom to get the RP250 instead of the RP90 so she got it for me... YIPPE!! lol quote |

@ Fritz621: Although I haven't personally used the RP90, it should fare quite well. After all, it is the second generation of the RP models using AudioDNA2. It's basically an RP250 without a few of the effect models and the USB port for uploading/downloading presets or recording your playing onto your computer.
If you haven't plans for connecting it to a computer for these functions, I'd recommend it. If you want the recording and upload/download options and haven't a need for the expression pedal, the RP150 goes for the same price. quote |
Fritz621 wrote on May 1st, 2008 3:51pmok ive been playing for about 6 months and im on a simalian sized budget... is the RP90 a good choice for my first pedal? quote |
Hakael wrote on May 1st, 2008 12:52pmOk... Well, looks like the issue that I've been having has been with the RP250 all along. It's appearantly decided to die on me. I've got another rather inexpensive way to record, but the RP250 is now out of it's misery.
I mention this because being the one that started this group, I feel kinda poopy that I no longer have the equipment that I started this group for. I will keep the group open of course, because it's appearantly helping even just a few people.
Nght5tlkr, Pretty much gonna give you the reigns if you don't mind. If anyone else would like to step up and help mod, please do send me a message.
Thanks for all your support! quote |

nght5tlkr wrote on Apr 16th, 2008 11:05pmThere's a process which is as follows:
1. Download the "RP250 USB Driver", "RP Updater", and "X-Edit 2.3 Installer" files from the DigiTech RP250 page (http://www.digitech.com/Download_Registration/RP2 50XEdit2.php).
2. Install the "RP250 USB Driver".
3. Run the "RP Updater" to update your RP250's firmware.
4. Perform a factory reset to your RP250.
5. Once complete, run the "X-Edit 2.3 Installer".
*Note: The X-Edit program should only be ran after the computer and RP250 are connected. quote |

Hakael wrote on Mar 10th, 2008 12:03pmArgh. I know I've mentioned I'd be more active in here, but unfortunately I've run into a problem with communications between my PC and my RP250. Thinking it's more of an issue regarding my PC as the RP250 seems to work fine when I put it through my amp. Hope to get that remedied soon. quote |
nght5tlkr wrote on Feb 23rd, 2008 1:10pmI'm working on redoing the settings I posted up earlier. Upon recording via USB with the aforementioned settings, there's some major clipping and it also sounds different from the sound output produced from an actual guitar speaker. I'm going for accuracy with the recording so ignore previous settings. Once complete, I'll edit in the posts and alert everyone here. quote |

With the exception of the RP350's EQ, all the settings from the lower models will work for the higher models as well. quote |
