Metal Maggo

I'm a DT newbie.
I own Images and Words, Live at the Marquee, Scenes from a Memory and Systematic Chaos.
Could you please recommend me a further good album?

Octavarium and Train of Thought. Apparently Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance is very good, but I don't own that one yet:( so I can't confirm that. Octavarium and Train of Thought. Apparently Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance is very good, but I don't own that one yet:( so I can't confirm that.

I love all their albums. One in particular that doesn't get much mention is Falling into Infinity. I think they made a conscience effort to write really good songs to go along with the musical insanity that they always bring. I love all their albums. I'd recommend you get either Awake or Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence next. Awake, for starters, is just musically, and lyrically amazing. It includes the classic track Erotomania, which is a DT staple and the heavy, crunching The Mirror. It also includes Space Dye Vest, which is a nice change of pace and sound. Six Degrees, on the other hand is basically a mixture of everything Dream theater is made of: Heavy: The Glass Prison More Radio-Friendly: Blind Faith Weird/Off The Scale: Misunderstood Proggy: The Great Debate Moody/Melancholy/Sad: Disappear All of The Above: Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence I'd recommend you get either Awake or Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence next.
