I am writing you from 1956. I was the Grand Llama during WWII. I am writing to let you know that somehow the past has been changed. I would assume it is from somebody mettling with time travel, Erik.
Because of this time travel, the US never nuked Japan. Since the US never nuked Japan the Soviets and Americans invaded. Now the two nations are having a Nuclear War.
Surely they wouldn't have started a nuclear war because Russia wouldn't have felt threatened by the Us's dropping of the second A-bomb, so they wouldn't have so hastily made their own nuclear weapons? And why would the USSR invade Japan? Surely America would have just launched a full scale invasion and just done the same thing they actually did but a lot slower and with more of their own soldiers being killed. Then China, Indo-china and Korea would have been liberated, the US would have invaded half of Korea, USSR the other half, France would have invaded Indo-China and China would have carried on with their civil war.
The USSR actually declared war on Japan between the 1st and 2nd droppings of the Atomic Bombs. They knew the war was close to over and wanted their land back. And you do not know about Nuclear war, if the US never dropped the bomb on Japan, when the Soviets got it, neither side would know how powerful they were and use them on each other.
