Go play around with one if you can. They have EMG's if I recall correctly, so the sound is a little bit different and the necks dive a bit (maple i think). My buddy has an EX-400. Plays really nice and built very well, but I didn't care for the neck dive. Go play around with one if you can. Well, I just finished up my explorer mod. Nothing major, pup swap and tuners. Dang tuner baseplates were like a mm too wide but it wasn't anything Mr. Dremel couldn't fix. I now have what I like to refer to as my pointy Les Paul Standard. :wink:
