Some of my post got cut off. IT went something along the lines of petes just prances arounnd the stage singing like a pop singer and playing like one. The drummer seems reasonable enough. Theyare like a bad wanabe punk/emo band as they try to be punk with there songs but fail miserably. They try to be emo witht he mascarra and songwritnig and also fail miserably. THey are now labeled as a bad pop-rock band. Also the actually have to bring in an other guitarist(john Mayer) to do a solo for them thats how bad they are.

As much as I know all the Fall Out Boy fans can't stand people bad-mouthing their favourite band, I think I'm permitted to share the fact that I don't like them at all, without sinking to any level to do so.

I don't have a problem with whatever genre they are in, even if it is emo, since hating someone because of their genre is like being racist. But in my opinion the music is of poor quality, and even for simpler, poppier-style of music it's not particularly good. I also think that Pete Wenz brings the band down a lot because he's a rubbish musician when all is said and done, and he has a huge ego which can only achieve a sort of hollow fame.

In my eyes, they are a typical mainstream group; they got famous by playing music that appeals to a large portion of society, and they maintained their success by riding the fame wave. The only way to ride that fame wave is to make your band's main purpose to sell itself to the people, which overtakes what should be the main purpose which is playing good music that yo
