Liverpools answer to the Arctics , the wombats burst onto the music scene in late 2007 , getting a top ten hit with "Lets Dance To Joy Division" , and another top 40 with "Moving To New York".
Their debut album , "The Wombats Guide To Love Loss and Desperation " got into the top ten album chart.
They won at the NME Awards with"Let's Dance To Joy Divsion" for best dancefloor filler.
They also made an attempt for the Christmas number 1 of 2008 , with "Is This Christmas?".
