Sorry if this has been suggested a million times beforehand but i was thinking that there should be proper well organised guitar competitions run on UG by the moderators.
These could be held every month where a mod would assign a song to be learnt and users would submit a video or MP3 of themselves playing the song.
There would be no prizes other than giving users a great opportunity to gain respect from fellow UG'ers and also improve their playing and technique whilst being exposed to music they would perhaps not previously listen too.
The competition could be split into three main categories, easy medium and advanced, to allow all users to participate and nobody feels untalented enough not to participate.
This was just a thought i had to help focus UG members and help them too improve their playing and would be nice to see something like this actually happen.
