^not bad. There are bands in there that i like that i didn't mention because they don't make it to my top list such as Lothlorien, Dark Lunacy, Eucharist.

You seem to like a different style of Melodeath which is cool. Also most of those albums are not so recent besides Nocturnal or course and Since the Day it All Came Down.

Good stuff though

yeah the finnish sound to me sucks some hard balls, I like riff heavy MDM but good leads are usually essential... yet I'm much happier with the style i've found, pscht, there's some recent ones, like... Inferi, As Eden Burns... faster tech MDM, Dark Lunacy with their violins choirs and shit, yet still roughly melodeath... i dont like most of the over glossed keyboard things im usually quite harsh about them... as they're not really what I Think the creators would refer to as melodeath if they could lol... but the only band I really really enjoy from Finland is probably Dark Flood yeah the finnish sound to me sucks some hard balls, I like riff heavy MDM but good leads are usually essential... yet I'm much happier with the style i've found, pscht, there's some recent ones, like... I am, i love their Neo Classical influence with out horrible keyboards -IMO a band that used keyboards well was Abigail Williams on songs like Melquiades/The Conqueror Wyrm... and well.. those also are my favorites but otherwise I think their use of keyboards was great- I am, i love their Neo Classical influence with out horrible keyboards -IMO a band that used keyboards well was Abigail Williams on songs like Melquiades/The Conqueror Wyrm... and well.. those also are my favorites but otherwise I think their use of keyboards was great-

Metallicaman42

A band most of you probably wouldn't be familiar with is Archaios, check 'em out on Myspace.

ARCHAIOS - Out of the Shadows

BE'LAKOR - The Frail Tide

BECOMING THE ARCHETYPE- All - (Terminate Damnation and The Physics of Fire)

DECADENCE - All - (Decadence, The Creature, and 3rd Stage of Decay)

DETIONATION - All - (Emission Phase, An Epic Defiance, and Portals to Uphobia)

ELUVEITIE - All - (Slania and Spirit)

EBONY TEARS- Tortura Insomniae and A Handful of Nothing

ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW - Vilda Mannu, Chaotic Beauty, and A Virgin and a Whore

THE ABSENCE- All - (From Your Grave and Riders of the Plague)

FEAR MY THOUGHTS- Hell Sweet Hell and Vulcanus

MERCENARY - All - (Architect of Lies, 11 Dreams, and The Hours That Remain)

NEAERA - Let the Tempest Come

NOUMENA - Pride/Fall

SCAR SYMMETRY - Holographic Universe

SKYFIRE - All - (Timeless Departure, Spectral, and Mind Revolution)

SUIDAKRA - All - Too many to list lol

There's several more I'd like to list, but that is good enough for now.

what does everyone think about riders of the plague?

dark flood is just amazing.. but i cant find torrents.. im definately buying all the albums when i get money.

Be'lakor - The frail tide

Renascent - Through Darkness (although they are christian..)

Cadacross - Corona Borealis

Illnath - Cast into the evil fields of pleasure
