I usually buy the CDs of bands that have a decent amount of good song in the album. Is this also bad?  I usually buy the CDs of bands that have a decent amount of good song in the album. Is this also bad?

I buy music from bands I know and like or have been recommended to me. Even if I don't like it at first it grows on me quickly. I don't believe it's a waste of money if I buy an album I don't like since it most likely will grow on me. I buy music from bands I know and like or have been recommended to me. It at least broadens your taste, and gives you more opinions of music. Also, you'll never know which of the songs you like before you hear them all. There is a difference between songs you know, and songs which you actually like. Often, people like songs simply because they recognise it, and others listen to it. Even if you've only like a few songs off the album, it's better to buy the actual CD than to download those few songs off of itunes or amazon. By having the entire album you will be able to appreciate the less popular songs by the artist that are much better than the extremely popular ones. If you don't like, you simply listen to it until you do? What a load of crap.

Buy the CD. The more you listen to something, the more you like it. Buying CDs you get all the Bsides. I've bought tons of albums only liking one song, and then I end up liking the others. IE: Btfabg was a 25 dollar cd, and I bought it for one song, but ended up liking it. Dr. Hook was 20 and I only wanted Cover of the Rolling Stone, but I like Millionaire also now too. Buy the CD. I always buy the CD even if I know i dont like some of the songs on it. If I like a band I aim to get everything they have ever released. So If I were you Id buy the CD but its your choice. There are lots of songs I didn't like at first, but they grew on me. For example, I hated Sonata Arctica's album UNIA. I listened to all the songs and didn't like any of them. Then one day, I was driving past the record store, and i thought "Fuck it. I love SA. I must be listening wrong." So I went and bought UNIA. After listening to each song a few times, it has become one of my favorite albums of all time. There are lots of songs I didn't like at first, but they grew on me.
