I usually try not to buy iTunes, as I heard not so much of the money goes to the artists. Anyone have a stance on this? I often do buy stuff on iTunes simply due to convenience.

iTunes is ok, I don't use it myself though because I prefer to have the physical disc. |

I usually don't download songs from Itunes. Unless there's just one song by a band I want. But that's rare. |

I'm a student with no money, so... iTunes. If it's one of the Big 3 (for me, that's R.E.M., Springsteen, Metallica) and I don't already have a single off the album, I'll buy the CD. Otherwise, I download it. I only pirate if I'm trying to see if I like a certain song and am deciding whether or not to buy it, or if the album is actually called "Steal This Album". |

Itunes is pretty lame, although you can get things fast and easy, it hurts the bands. What happened to the good old days when everyone had to buy the whole cd. Now most people dont even get a good view about the band and what stuff the band has to offer. Most people just buy the top rated or the most popular and it hurts the band. Instead of making $10-$15 or so, they might only be getting $2-3 from customers on itunes.
I try really hard to stay away from Itunes, the only time I buy from Itunes is if its a single or if its old and not avaliable at the music stores. |
