The White Stripes: 70's Fender Twin Reverb, Sears Silvertone 6x10 combos.
The Raconteurs:

Guitars

Jack also uses an Electro-Harmonix POG [Polyphonic Octave Generator].

The POG and what guitarmad said up there is his full pedalboard.

You can achieve his sound very easily. Plenty of mids, not much too much treble, and even sounding amount of bass (to give it some bottom). Crank the amp and you're set. A Fuzz pedal is a must though. You can achieve his sound very easily. Plenty of mids, not much too much treble, and even sounding amount of bass (to give it some bottom). I recently saw "It Might Get Loud" and was wondering if anyone knows what the box sitting on top of his Silvertone 1485 head is at Fly Farm, TN (http://www.lifeagency.co.uk/blog/wp-content/upload s/2008/09/jack-white.png and http://www.banquetrecords.com/graphics/TMR013.jpg). I assume it's just a preamp for his microphone before going into the reel-to-reel, but I thought maybe someone here would know better than me.
