Jari Mäenpää became popular as the vocalist and lead guitarist in a folk/power metal band called Ensiferum in 1996-2004. He is especially a very accurate sweeper. He's shown some of his best stuff in his solo project, Wintersun, which has some of the best guitar solos and melodies I've ever heard.
