That is all very true, I had actually forgot that Joe was technically part of a band, bacause Stu, jeff and the rest lol. Anywho the drummer of the band is Chad Smith I think his name is, I know its the drummer from RHCP. This should be cool. I think that now hes not really just writing his own stuff he might be a little confined, you know what I mean? I mean yeah hes very versatile but how long can he play with other members of a band before they tired of seeing him shine brighter than them. Then again when they play live they will also have attracted Van Halen fans and RHCP fans. It should work out.

All I know about him is that he was the original bassist for Van Halen and he has a signature bass, other than that I have no idea. I’m looking forward to hearing what this trio has for us. I don’t really have any personal thoughts about the whole idea; we’ll just have to see when they release more material. Just a side note, Joe assures us that “Chicken Foot” will not be the official name of this group.

Well Satch has never been alone, hehe. Before he hit it big he was in the Squares with his drummer Jeff Campitelli. Also Galen, Dave, Stu, the Bissonnet Boys and many other musicians have been right there with him. I'm unsure about the chicken foot thing. You have Joe, who really needs no explanation other then he's just amazing, which we already knew. Then you have Sammy Hagar, former singer for Van Halen, who at the time replaced David Lee Roth. In my opinion Hagar's vocals are incomparable to that of Roth's. Although, Sammy does have some pretty good pipes, only bad thing is Sammy isn't as versatile as I'd like him to be. Good thing about Joe is he can play anything; he can take any genre and really make it his own. The third member of Chicken Foot is another former member of Van Halen, Michael Anthony. I don't really know enough about Michael Anthony to make a judgment on his performance.

Im sure you guys have heard of Chicken foot, the band that Satch is now playing with. How do you feel about it?
Personally I dont know what to think, Joe is a great musician, as for the other guys Im not to sure, they were with bands like Van Halen so they have to be good, but besides G3 Satch was always alone. It should be cool non the less though. What do you guys think?

If you guys are wondering where you can get the cd One Big Rush: The genius of Joe Satriani. You can get it at FYE, this cd is on a different label, which is why its not on his web site im guessing. Its kind of like a one disk collection, they compiled yen of his best songs. The list of songs includes: One Big Rush, Surfing with The Alien, Sleep Walk, Belly Dancer, Back To Shalla-Ba, (You're) My World, Motorcycle Driver, All Alone, Cryin', Up In Flames. These are some of his best songs no doubt. I paid 8.00 dollars.

If you didn't already know Joe is suing the UK band, Coldplay! Joe claims that Coldplay used Joe's melody and chord progression from Joe's song, "If I could Fly" which is on his album, Is there Love in Space? Album, in their own song "Viva La Vida"

That is true, He seems extremly nice. I would imagine someone as awesome as him would be a jerk, but hes always laughing or joking around.

My favorite thing about Satch is that he's not only an amazing guitar player and an incredible influence to everyone that ever picked up the guitar, but he's also a very nice guy and a fantastic teacher.

What is your most favorite thing about Satch?
My favorite thing is his improvation at any time, like in his youtube videos he makes extremly cool sounding riffs without even trying.

Awesome vids. right now Im attempting to learn Ten Words. Its pretty easy. I just need to work on my tempo. I have already learned all of it, with missing pieces of the solo, but it still sounds pretty good.
