hrblocked wrote on Aug 23rd, 2008 11:31pmHey guys I just joined up. I'm a pretty big Satch fan. I have most of his albums and some instructables. I also participate at satriani.com and I subscribe to the Satch Zone, great lessons!! Joe is an incredible influence for me as I too play guitar and he's the reason I picked up the instrument. I've only been playing for 1 year and 1/2 , but I'm making it my goal to learn a few of his songs. I'm currently working on always with you, always with me. Hope to see you all soon. Take Care

Satchafunkilus wrote on Aug 1st, 2008 7:02amNow after listening to a large majority of his music I can safely say Surfing with the Alien was one of his best. There may be only ten songs and the CD is only about 37 minutes long but still from the first song; Surfing with the alien, until the last song; Echo, it is one of the best things I have heard in awile. quote |

Jackolas wrote on Jul 21st, 2008 9:40pmGreat group, lovely collection of songs for people to hear too.
I saw the great Satch and Paul Gilbert Live in Bristol in May this year - it was utterly fantastic, very loud, and very hot! In the Bristol Colston Hall. I was up the top and the view was great, as were the songs and sound played.
I'm not sure what else to add to the story, as it's Satch (hey, it's going to be great) - he played a great selection of tunes, all the favourites, and tracks such as Time Machine and lots off the new album. They all sounded amazing, and when Satch played "Always with me, always with you" it was an amazing extended version. Every song was worth mentioning, but "Flying In A Blue Dream" seems to stick out in my mind the most - the lighting was fantastic and the artwork/screens were used to great affect on many songs. Stu played some fantastic bass and every band member for both bands was 10/10 top-notch! Awesome drumming involved.
