Nice clean tone tips.

XxXshadowboyXxX

I have found a few techniques to give a nice smooth clean tone. This especially helps if you have a naturally treble-y guitar like myself, but still like to play some nice cleans.

I've found these two techniques to take the edge off of my treble when normal amp adjustments don't work. I personally have the POD Farm software that came with my Toneport UX1 but I would assume this works for all of the programs.

1.) Try using a bass amp. I've found that I often like the smooth cleans that the bass amps give. It could possibly get muddy so tweak for your pick up selection and the amp settings.

2.) Chorus. I use the Sine Chorus pedal on the POD Farm. Even if you don't want the full chorus effect try turning it down lower so it adds just a smidge of chorus. This again takes the edge off of your tone and gives it a smooth clean feel.

Remember always try adjust settings on pedals and amps to get your tone they can work wonders. Hope this helps I'll add more tips if I find them.

I turn the guitar's volume down to about 7 when trying to achieve a "clean" tone.

Hope I don't sound like Dr. Obvious

Dunno if it's available on the normal POD farm plugin, but on the X3 you can try using the 'piezacoustic' amp model(s) for a pretty decent clean tone (specially when combined with the aforementioned sine chorus and a slight reverb/delay) Dunno if it's available on the normal POD farm plugin, but on the X3 you can try using the 'piezacoustic' amp model(s) for a pretty decent clean tone (specially when combined with the aforementioned sine chorus and a slight reverb/delay)
