Starting in the early 90's with their first album 'Burn My Eyes', which was the spawning of the come back of Thrash Metal today. Machine Head are one of the most important bands in Metal history. In 1997, they released 'The More Things Change...', one of the heaviest albums they've produced. Both of their first albums have inspired many bands in the 21st century. In 1999, the released the first of their 'Controversial' albums 'The Burning Red'. Most of their early fans didn't like this new sound they picked up, and the album, along with 2001's 'Supercharger', were titled as Nu Metal. Three years after the release of 'Supercharger', during their bumpy ride with Roadrunner, 'causing them to leave the label, only to come back again to release their next album. The came up with 'Through The Ashes Of Empires', this was a wake up call to those who titled them as Nu Metal. This album features the likes of Imperium, Days Turn Blue To Grey and Descend The Shades Of Night(often thought of as the new Fade To Black by Metallica). Then in 2007, they released Metal's new and altime turn around for its music, 'The Blackening'. Eight songs, two ten minutes long, and packed with neck-breaking, ear-bursting songs, that could turn a whole pit inside-out!
