I'm going completely cliché and reading A Brief History of Time :P

Very interesting though, definitely recommend it to anyone interested in cosmology or just physics in general. |

A Breif history of time was an amazing read
As well as Blackholes and Baby Universe's.

Since we are on the topic of sharing literature I feel we should include seminar video's
I have some excelent intro to string theory video's if anyone is interested.
Aswell as Harnessing the Quantum world: the future of the computer |

Carl Sagan had some pretty interesting books regarding cosmology, astrobiology, etc...

I didn't read all of them (well, in fact I only read a little of them).... |

Some of the books from the Oxford university press "A very short introduction" series are good. It ranges across many subject and the particle physics one got me genuinely interested in the subjects. And it does not require any mathematical knowledge so it's also good for people still in school or people who are just interested to know a bit more about science, but do not have the mathematical qualifications. |
