Post your favorite card and why you love it!
Mine, of course, is juzam djinn, A heavy hitter from type 1 with 5/5 for two black and two colorless with 1 damage during the upkeep, solid for any black deck in extended or type 1
Next is grinning demon, obviously because it's juzam's bigger brother, losing you an extra life and being 6/6
next favorite is phyrexian negator, ah yes, the negator. From urza's block comes the negator, fueled by a first turn dark ritual, this 5/5 with TRAMPLE is a force to be reckoned with. Although he's only good for about 2 turns, he can still lay it down pretty good in two turns.
Next up, hymn to tourach. In the entire history of M:TG there was never a card that was this efficient at discarding, most cards nowadays only let you discard one from your opponent'sw hand (usually after looking at it) but hymn to tourach allows 2 discarded cards for two black, which is a great deal, IMO)\
Skullclamp, embrace it's restricted prowess. God, I used this with skulltap (1 colorless, one black, sac a creature, draw two) to draw four cards from one wretched anurid. This card is probably what makes black the second best color in terms of drawing cards.
Pulse of the forge, this cards IS red burn decks,, 3 for four damage, combined with the other burn cards ini most red decks, can finish off opponents in less than 5 turns.
counterspell. It's cheap, let's put it at that.
Decree of justice, this card has eben used against me so many times and has sealed my fate with a barrage of soldiers after a wrath of god.
Brain freeze, from scourge set we get this cheap to play, but effective card. This card allows you to deck 4 from your opponent's deck with STORM, so you could potentially deck 40 cards from your opponent's deck if you have all four in your hand and if you haev 8 blue to spend.
No rest for the wicked, from 10th edition..... god this card is unstoppable in zombie decks, you get all of a selected creature type's cards from the graveyard, and it only costs one black and one colorless. You can potentially get this card out if you've lost all your zombies to a pyroclasm or a wrath of god.
Necropotence. It's THE drawing machine, 'nuff said. You could substitue for yawgmoth's bargain, but that costs a lot more.
