i think its gotta be king diamond even though his falsetto can get really irritating, hes got crazy vocal range. i think dio is pretty good too

Really, there's too many genre's of metal that this question adresses, like, what about Eric Adams? Matt Barlow? James LaBrie? Warell Dane? Rob Halford?

Bruce Dickinson. I mean damn.

King Diamond has a very unique voice, I love it. But Phil Anselmo...every Pantera cover I have heard not only cant nail that guitar, but the vocals are usually an issue too. He can yell like a mofo, but his singing is amazing.

Hansi kursch is amazing, and obviously mikael akerfeldt as well, but theres a guy from ayreon with an amazing voice called Eric Clayton, apparently from "saviour machine" I went on their website and tey didnt look exceptionally metal or even good to be honest, but i wont say anything as i havent heard them.

My favourite singer is James Labrie, but I like him for his versatility more than for being metal. As far as metal goes its gotta be between Dio, Halford, Dickinson, and maybe just for kicks, Shuldiner from Death.
