because i liked shit music at the time and thought that they were good and i could achieve that easy. then long came metalcore and i was like wtf, i might be able to play some of that. then came metal and melodeath and it was more of a challenge then came tech death and shred and im struggling along with that

Cause i wanted 2 impress ppl. I've been playin 4 bout a year and a half and am one of the best in my town. 3 hours of practice a night is definately worth it. (not meanin 2 brag) |

Because of Guitar Hero. I already listened to hard rock/metal before, but I never picked up a guitar nor had anyone into the same music as I was. Then I bought Guitar Hero, and everything changed. I started playing the game, and was so damn fun. I begged my parents to buy me a real guitar, and a few months ago, they did. A Squier Strat haha. Since playing Guitar Hero, I've gotten into heavier music: Death Metal, Black Metal, Thrash, ETC. and have been teaching myself by reading lessons on here I am alright I guess, I just started to actually learn sweep picking a week ago, and I am doing smoothly with sweeping :m: |

I saw the movie Crossroads and I saw the vid of Funtwo playing Canon Rock on youtube about two years back. It just blew my mind, but I also play because I love music, so much so that I actually get sick of it sometimes lol |

I heard metallica in 1998 when I was 12, I ditched the cello and picked up a guitar. Im glad I learned cello when I did, it made my fingers and musical ear pretty good for when it came to playing guitar for the first time. |
