I agree, Blackwater will always have a special place in my collection because of all the memories I have of events that took place around it. |

I'm yet to hear much from Opeth, a few friends of mine have said I wouldn't like them :/ Although it was suggested I buy Ghost Reveries. Anyone willing to help out there?? |

For your first album I'd suggest Blackwater Park because it's easier to get into than most of their other stuff, and it has a pretty even balance of softer parts and heaviness.Ghost Reveries is good too but the songs are a bit more jazzy and there are a lot more keyboards than on any of their other albums...some people find it boring for some reason, I dunno. Pretty much any of their albums are a good choice if you're a fan of prog or death metal except maybe Damnation because it's all softer stuff.More or less, if you can tolerate long songs then you'll probably love Opeth. |

Definetly Blackwater Park and Still Life, every once in a while i dont mind Damnation also... Opeth is a great band but lately i havent been listening to them as much, you have to be in a certain mood to really be into them. |

Deliverance will always be best even if just for that ending rhythm section, i wish it was twice as long lol,  anyhoo, my black rose immortal is badass to but i dont like his vocals as much on it, they seem to be more black metal styled on it and it doesnt really suit the music. but meh its an awesome song. |
