dio_dude I can't do the thrash revival because I don't believe it exists (lol) and I don't listen to the bands that are called the thrash revival. You can do that if you want. You can do thrash too if you want, as I'm already doing most death metal and will probably end up doing power metal, speed metal and black metal.

for example, for first wave death i'm using:
Possessed - Seven Churches
Death - Scream Bloody Gore
Insanity - Rehearsal 85
Necrovore - Divus De Mortuus
Death Strike - Fuckin' Death

as long as you can adequately describe how thrash metal 'came about', and make sure to relate it back to the genres coming before it (ie, Power Metal, Speed Metal, NWOBHM). i might make a bit of a contribution to thrash too, cos im pretty well-versed in it.

@I, Voyager: i'll post a thread saying which genres have been assigned (and to whom) and then anyone that wants to help out can look at what genres have not been assigned. also, if you feel you have a good deal of knowledge about a certain genre, there is no rule against more than one person working on a genre
