i'm not meaning to offend, but in all the early maiden and megadeth songs, such as my last words and aces high, the bass is a must. but in metallica's music, well, some songs at least, the bass isn't needed due to the bassline being just root notes.

Don't forget that he has written some pretty memorable riffs and he's an extremely solid rhythm player.

And seriously:
1) James Hetfield (One of my idols.)
2) Cliff Burton (RIP!)
3) Dave Mustaine (seriously... I see him as an idol too...)
4) Kirk Hammett (another one of my idols)
5) Robert Trujillo (great musician.)
6) Jason Newsted (I hate his bass playing...)
7) Lars Ulrich (the douche one, I wish that James was the frontman, James is less stupid than Lars...)

And no one cares about Ron McGovney... like always.

Also, it seems that everyone and their grandmother loves Hetfield. I mean, yeah he's the most badass motherfucker in the world, but, jeez, do you have an opinion?
^ Lars is a legend and Hetfield is the frontman :haha: As for mine... I'll give you one freakin' guess. :haha: Also, it seems that everyone and their grandmother loves Hetfield. I mean, yeah he's the most badass motherfucker in the world, but, jeez, do you have an opinion?

They're all easy especially Dyers Eve which is just chords. You're unbanned from the Thrash Brotherhood by the way.
Hetfield is one of the best rhythm guitarists out there. Voted #16 metal guitarist of all time by Joel McIver, if I remember correctly.

Hetfield
Rob
Kirk
Lars

This is personality wise, because James Kicks Ass, and rob is a goof ball. Kirk always seemed quiet, and even without the napster thing, Lars has always seemed kinda douchy to me.

With no doubt:
1) James Hetfield
2) Cliff Burton... hahaha...
3) Kirk Hammett
4) Dave Mustaine (I like more as the founder of Megadeth...)
5) Robert Trujillo
6) Lars Ulrich
7) Jason Newsted

(And I'm don't wanna include Ron McGouvney)
