I am sure they had the same feelings as just about every other teen fan of Metallica had. Sadness and depression is a great thing to write about, but once YOU are rich and successful, it sounds like whining. I think "sad" or "suicidal" type lyrics actually make the depressed feel a bit better, knowing there is others like them and especially ROCK GODS, like them!

I t is not who's best or such as this argument is futile i.e my cars faster than yours , my c*ck is bigger e.t.c. e.t.c ,,,it is purely what keeps you listening to the band you like or we get into the whole commercial shit sales,hits,fans and such,,,,yes we are passionate its part of being a musician and i have had fights in bars over people just talking bad over metallica (yea i know) .

You know who i think is the BEST ......you....me...somebody...but for that 3,4,6,7 minutes i listen to your mp3's you have pushed the rest out of the way , hell yea even Metallica ..so there ya go give yourself a grammy or platinum disc , all i can give is 1 to 5 stars and a heartfelt comment...

there is no best there's just right now and a different day....peace

I had a dream last night were Jason Newstead(It was Justice tour). Luckily I know qite a few of Metallicas bass lines for songs from Guitar Legends and Guitar World mag. Ride The Lightning was the funnest one to play, because I know the bass line 100% After the gig, Kirk needed a place to crash, so I said, "Come crash at my house" and he did. Then Kirk told me to finish the tour with him, then i'm like "KICKASS" and then my mom woke me up, So I told my mom to piss off so she couldn't understand me.

How can any artist say they are "BETTER THAN"? It is all art and up to the listener to enjoy it or not. Some people love THE strangest stuff but does it make it BETTER?
How many bands shot them selves in the foot by saying"WE ARE BETTER THAN"?
Oasis saying it about the BEATLES comes to mind.

You wouldn't have one without the other. And although Metalica is my favorite band, Megadeth is a very close second. IMO, if you love or like on of these, you have to like or love the other. They are both fucking amazing bands.
