Mezarkabul (The Pentagram in Turkey) is a Turkish heavy metal/power metal band comprising of Murat İlkan, Hakan Utangaç, Metin Türkcan, Tarkan Gözübüyük, and Cenk Ünnü. They are notable for introducing traditional Anatolian elements into their music.
The band formed in 1986, and they started doing live shows in 1987. Their first album, "Pentagram" was released in 1990. Two years later, they released their second album "Trail Blazer". The band toured extensively after that, until they were required to complete Turkish Military service. Former guitarist Ümit Yılbar was killed in this time.
In 1997, they released the album "Anatolia". In 1998, they released their live album called "Popçular Dışarı". In 2001, they released "Unspoken", their first album to be released outside of Turkey under the name of Mezarkabul. In 2002, they released "Bir" in Turkey. A concert DVD called "1987" has been released in 2008, which includes their 20th anniversary concert in Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi.
