Okay, well, I have an mp3 player that records things into .WAV files (strange, I know). If you have something like this (it's probably just as good as a webcam mic), or like a microphone for your computer, that should work. The closest you should get to a guitar amp is probably a few feet away, since static/feedback can occur. I tested and recorded some stuff I sent to mike.h (he and I are writing a semi-unrelated song, too!), but I'll pool emails or whatever. Here's mine:
yes.thisischrisparkersemail@gmail.com
Go ahead and email, then I can replay to you all with everyone else's emails, that way we don't have like 50 PMs flying around. |
Kk, lol do you have a nextar MP3 cause mine does that too
and my email is monkeydude999@gmail(dont ask)
and then my AIM is benderisthegreat

Yes.
Just, yes.

I can play bass for the song, but I'm a retard and I don't know how to convert my recordings into mp3.
Don't worry about that. If we want to we could just make a YouTube video of the song, like a mash-up of posts/screenshots or something, I don't know. quote |

ninja dude wrote on Mar 28th, 2008 8:27pmI'm fine with everybody working together but we'd need a good way to keep in contact, I'm also fine with everybody writing a verse or two and then just putting them together. So I'm cool with anything quote |

Chris_Parker wrote on Mar 28th, 2008 9:27amWe could each write passages of the song to our own stylings. norma, since you seem to be the only one here so far in your style of music (to listen to, based on your profile), you may need to write stuff on your own. However, Iceman, inja, ledhead, and I are all into very similar genres, therefore we could all either write our own things and mesh them together or we could all work together, even collaborate on lyrics. Reminding me, do we want to collaborate on it, or do we want to all write our own thing and vote on it?
The structure should be the set up of page one, then mentioning throughout the rest what others have posted, perhaps even quotes, basically all glorifying the thread, then ending anticlimactically in "but he was alive all along...".
We need to do work lol quote |
Chris_Parker wrote on Mar 28th, 2008 9:23amOkay, well if we can get a singer alligned, that'd be great. You wouldn't necessarily have to do the lyrics. We first need to decide on what kind of song (genre-wise) it should be. The subject matter will of course be that asshole, mike.h, and his plot to waste all of our fucking time. I'm thinking like a glorified song about him at first, then it ends on, but he was alive all along...
Obviously we can all play guitar and/or bass. I've got friends with drum kits, and I can kind of play drums (I've played only like 5 times for like an hour or less each time, but Rock Band on Hard 7 hours straight all through the night with three friends will make you a drummer in, uh, 7 hours, believe me...)
For recording we might as well just look for somebody who has a good microphone, I know somebody, but I don't know how good it could be picking up a guitar/whatever.
Basically, if you can get a microphone, do so and let us know. I'll try and get us some materials, i.e. lyric ideas.
Another idea: we could e quote |
