I think I can sum up my feelings like this. I've been too busy playing on it to stop and write about it until now. I love this thing. It's the best sounding amp I've ever owned, and it's the least expensive. That's just remarkable to me. I played most of the lower priced tube amps out there before going with the BH and while some of the others (the valve kings in particular) are more "versatile" they're really just more options to get a mediocre sound. The BH I just turn it on and get happy. I haven't even done anyhing to it yet. It's still got the stock tubes. I'll replace them soon, and probably play with a couple different preamp tubes to see what they do, but I'm thrilled with it stock.

To put this in context, I play mostly indie rock stuff. I've been ripping off equally Constantines and Interpol recently . I run just a BYOC delay, and a Boss bass overdrive (because I just had it lying around) and I get all the sounds I want from it, except reverb. |
