Neo-classical Metal is pretty self explanatory. Metal inspired by classical music/musicians.
This music was introduced and made famous by Yngwie Malmsteen although it has been said that other players before malmsteen have had neoclassic elements in their style of playing e.g. Ritchie Blackmore, Yngwie is the best known guitar player associated with Neo-classical metal.
The playing involves licks and arpeggios that have been inspired by classical musicians such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Mozart and of course Paganini (Antonio Vivaldi is also one of them).
This group has been made solely for the fans of this genre and Mr. Malmsteen himself.
