Pink Floyd on Guitar

Hamburger89

What Pink Floyd song do you like to play on your guitar or bass the most? My favorite is Comfortably Numb and then the chords, it's not hard and pretty relaxing when you play it. Another brick in the wall part 2 is nice too but it's a little hyper for me some times like switching from the F-Chord on the first 3 strings to an F-Chord on the last 3.

The Time solo is really fun. Wish You Were Here, of course.

Also, the slide on Shine On part 6. Such an awesome solo.

I like playing Us and Them, Brain Damage, and Lucifer Sam.

Whenever I hear Lucifer Sam it reminds me of a James Bond secret agent-type song.

As a bass player, its required that you learn Money. But I also like Astronomie Domine, Interstellar Overdrive and playing on both bass and guitar, most of the Animals album. Money is great fun. The Comfortably Numb solo is a blast to play too, I agree with Thefallofman.

Oh, and I'd like to learn the slide guitar solo from Shine On You Crazy Diamond (last track on WYWH) and Breathe, such a relaxing tune. If I ever have time, I'll try learning the slide on One Of These Days :)

No double posting please - Hamburger89

I can play the Shine On solo :D

Surprisingly easy to play, yet difficult to make it sound right. Plus you need to have your slide technique, which takes a while to develop.

Welcome to the Machine, and Have a Cigar... I can't believe no one has said either one of them yet! Great songs to improv to... especially Have a Cigar. Welcome to the Machine, and Have a Cigar... Welcome to the machine is kinda easy, it's fun for a while but it gets boring after a few times. The riff of have a cigar is good fun to play though. Welcome to the machine is kinda easy, it's fun for a while but it gets boring after a few times. The riff of have a cigar is good fun to play though.

I love to play "Echoes" just for fun. i usually start with the solo and go into a half hour version of the Jam section. Then all delayed parts of the Wall like "Run like Hell", and "The Happiest Days of Our Lives." Then of course there is "Any Colour You Like." I love playing "Breathe" on my 12-string, as well as "Flaming" (from Piper). And a few of Barrett's post-Floyd solo songs. I love playing "Breathe" on my 12-string, as well as "Flaming" (from Piper). And a few of Barrett's post-Floyd solo songs.
