well depending on the style u want to play. If u like the blues i would def look into a fender twin reverb its the best sounding amp i ever heard. I have played Vox and i was unimpressed. Marshall are in the middle for me, i have owned 2 and both of them were ok but they seem to just have one sound. I think marshall is good for rock. Line 6 spider amps are AMAZING. I have the 75 watt spider 3 its so sick. It does have a more modern sound to it but with all the different tones its def the best on the market IMO of amps under 400.

Well i have the Line 6 Spyder 3 75 Watt amp and its killer, its has over 400 presets which never get old. I have played on Vox amps but never loud or for extended periods of time. It was ok but i thought the line 6 had much better sound.

I think the Fender Twin Reverb amp has the best blues and clean sound around, i have never heard an amp with better sound, but its a lil out of my price range.

(cont)...

I have a Fender FM 212R which isn't bad, and it is a huge amp, like what i like... the noise supresser and equalizer pedals and the compression sustainer pedal make it sound much better than it really is. I was thinkin about a Vox or a Line 6... hit me up with your thoughs.

My playin' style is prolly closest to hendrix. I'm influenced by metal, classical, pop, funk, blues and so on. A little less electronic than Frusciante, and Hendrix is a huge influence on me. help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hmm, well. Over the past 2 years i have been building myself a pedal board, and tomarrow it will be finally finished, my birthday is tomarrow.

IT will have 12 Boss Pedals... super shifter, ds2, ds1, delay dd6, super chorus, equalizer, reverb, compression sustainer, auto wah, blues driver, metal zone, noise supresser... Then it has a crybaby wah, and adigitech hendrix pedal, which has well over 80 tones, including a delay, phaser, 2 wah's, countless distortion from little wing verse/solo to machine gun, star spangled banner, purple haze, wind cries mary. Amazing pedal, has 6 nobs that you can customize all of the 20+ tones also, gain, volume, reverb, high, low, control and yea... Very amazing pedal.

But yea, i built the board and tommarrow i'm pickin' up my final pedal, then puttin' em on the board and i will be SO STOKED!! good times.

after that i will prolly save up for a new amp. I got a tele, strat, and a taylor acoustic so i don't need a guitar.

What do you guys recommend for an amp? i have a
