What Schecter Guitar do you own?

Tweak88

hey there! first thread on "Schecter Guitars Army"

Just tell us what Schecter guitar do you own: Model, Color and some specs if you want.

Write something about it! Pros/Cons (I think think they have any cons but anyway...), what style of music do you play with it, what styles does it fit... anything relevant

Don't post photos here! There's another thread just for photos :D

Cheers

Oh... btw... I own a Schecter C-1 FR White (Diamond Series)
It came to me about a month ago and the bitch is just gorgeous!!!
Bought it off eBay used with only 2 months (the guy who sold it must be a retarded or something... you don't sell a schecter guitar!! oh well... thank god he did! :p)
The neck is excelent! Unfinished + Thin it's all you can ask for. Amazingly easy to reach the higher frets

No problems so far

Schecter Blawk Hawk :p (Sold in Sound Control in the UK only) - about as basic a Shecter as you can get, but its my first guitar and i love it :p Its black, string-through bridge, just standard diamond series pickups i think, nothing special. I mostly play (attempt to :p) the slower stuff by vai, satriani, vinnie moore etc - just recently finish April Sky by Vinnie Moore apart from the very fast bit in the middle and it sounds nice through my Vox amp, so am very happy with the guitar :p Nice and cheap too, only thing i would like is a tremolo :p Schecter Blawk Hawk :p (Sold in Sound Control in the UK only) - about as basic a Shecter as you can get, but its my first guitar and i love it :p Its black, string-through bridge, just standard diamond series pickups i think, nothing special. My second guitar, and first Schecter is a Schecter Gryphon, C series body, bolt-on neck, Ruby flame top with Duncan Designed pickups and coil tap. Guitar Center exclusive. This is the guitar I play probably the most out of the three Schecters I own. Although I think of it as a wonderful playing and sounding guitar, it's fast becoming my "beater" of sorts, the one I practice the most with, then when I feel something I'm playing is polished up, I'll play on one of the others. Considering swapping the current pickups out with a non-active, high gain set. Thinking along the lines of the Dimarzio D activators.<BR> ;Second Schecter, a C-1 XXX, I was lucky to bump into at a local pawn shop. Looked heavily used from the pick rashes on the front, but nothing a polish couldn't handle. Otherwise, it's perfect. Also with Duncan Designed pickups, set neck, coil tap, and dancing girl inlays. This one I play, probably the least of my guitars, not that I don't like it, quite the opposite, it's one of my favorites. It's more of a collector's piece for me though. It's completely functional, and plays/sounds/looks great. Considering swapping out the pickups for genuine Seymour Duncans.Th e last guitar I got, was just last week. A black cherry C-1 Hellraiser with string-through body. EMG 81/85 pickups, set neck, gothic cross inlays, abalone binding. Been playing around quite a bit with this one as I'm loving the sound of the EMGs. Tried a number of guitars along the same price point, but kept going back to the Hellraiser. To me, it had the most for the money, and already being familiar and comfortable with the feel of it, due to the other two that I own, it was pretty much a no brainer. I've got a Schecter Omen Extreme with a set of Duncan JB/Jazz on it right now. It's a pretty awesome guitar. I'm planning on getting a Schecter S-1 but that'll be a long way off, probably. I like the tones i'm getting, especially when I use the jazz, coil-tapped with the volume knob pretty low. I get near-acoustic type of cleans on it. I also get massive gain with the JB and a Metal Muff through a Laney LC30. I'm ditching the LC30 for a Marshall JCM900. I'm sure it'll kill with something like that. What I don't like about this Schecter is that the scale length is too long for me and makes me look awkward. I own a cherry red Schecter S-1. I'ts a damn good looking guitar. It's mahogony with pearl and albalone crown inlays and Duncan Design Active Humbuckers. I play a wide variety of music, from blues to metal and this thing plays both and everything in between. It has really nice cleans and good distortion. It's my second electric guitar, I got it cheap at a local guitar shop. I'm not disappointed at all. I'll add a pic later. I own a cherry red Schecter S-1. I'ts a damn good looking guitar. Schecter C-1 Classic. Blue with chrome hardware and vine of life inlay. Just got it about a month ago. Absolutely beautiful piece of art. I will post pics tonight. Plays pretty much anything I can throw at it, including Maiden, Metallica, Skynyrd, Zeppelin, Neil Young, 311, and much much more. I love the thing! Schecter C-1 Classic. While i have 7 guitars, I just have one Schecter (for now) but its the crown of my collection (which includes 2 Gibson). It's a C-1+ prototype, bondo blue finish, string through body, hot-roded up a bit with EMGs (81/89, coil-tap for 89 retained) and better tuners (Sperzels over stock-Grover >,<;), and I love it.

I am fixing to get another prototype model too. Course, I may just wait to see about the 2008 lineup and new options. I'm hoping they add 006s to the Hellraiser line! What I wouldn't do for one with an EMG 81 in the bridge, and an EMG single coil in the neck...

+1 ..... Hellraiser C-1 ("The Sidewinder"), Black Cherry. Was planning on getting the black one, but he Black Cherry was just too damn sexy for me to pass up. I have no problems with the guitar whatsoever, in fact I liked it better than most of $2000+ guitars. I play mostly Hard rock but find that it works well on everything else I play. It seems to enjoy the blues with the EMGs.

Peace...
Tim

I got a C-7 Hellraiser. It's black with pearl binding and it's a solid body. Also string trough and has EMG-707. It's got the gothlic crosses as inlays. I wanted a 7-string and it seems like Schecter is the only company at this time really making them (new). I took a chance and haven't looked back since. It's a awesome guitar! I also love LTD and in my eyes Schecter is right up there with'em. So when I start looking for a new 6-string i'll be looking at Schecter 1st!!! I got a C-7 Hellraiser.
