Backing Cliff Richard in the 50's as the 'Drifters', the Shadows shot to fame really after the releasing the epic 'Apache' in 1960. They went on to have more hits such as 'Atlantis' and 'Foot Tapper' which never fails to live up to it's name. They have never been afraid of doing cover versions or having songs written for them either which pretty much proves how humble they are. They are fronted by 'guitar ace' Hank Marvin, who's tone has been classed as unreplicated. Although the current line up is different from the 50's line up the band are still at the top of their game today.
