If you read the top most anticpated albums of 2009 in December, you'd see that Slash's solo album is to be released in the later half of 2009. The news article from today (March 5th, 2009) indicated that he is only recently ready to enter the studio.
i thought he was with velvet revolver, perhaps he is and does the odd solo album still like he used to idk

If I recall correctly from the book, I think he was given his first "real" guitar? I can't remember thought.

He's a real guitar god.
i keep dreaming that some day he will return with the original Guns and roses..

Slash has a way of tapping some sort of emotion in the listener that only a select few (Stevie Ray, Clapton, etc.) posess. He's one my my four faves all-time. ROCK ON, SLASH! \m/

i agree. even though he isnt the greatest in most people's opinion, hes my favorite to listen to. almost all of his solos i jsut have to stop what im doing and soak it all in, hoping that one day i will be able to write stuff like that... some of his solos actually get me choked up, and im not really the type of person to cry lol.
