Anarchism: Links etc

Thanks to spawn and Francois Tremblay from the Flag! forums for giving me the idea and providing a few of these links.

Anarchist FAQ <- Created as the result of Usenet flamewars, criticized for having an overly communist bias and being possibly a bit too longwinded the anarchist FAQ has nonetheless become the standard reference point for those new to anarchism

Anarchism: Arguments for and against <- Short piece by Albert Meltzer detailing the basics of anarchism and providing a rebuttal to oft-mentioned criticisms

Anarcho-Syndicalism 101 <- Class struggle anarchism

Mutualist.org <- Free market anti-capitalism

Infoshop.org <- Website with news, wiki and more

Anarchopedia <- Anarchist wiki

Der Einzige und sein Eigentum (The Ego and his Own) <- Book by Max Stirner in lieu of any substantial egoist website apart from the memory hole which I tend to be slightly weary of (for reasons that will become clear when you start reading through it)

Libcom.org <- Anarcho-communist site with news, library etc

Anarchists in the 1936 spanish civil war <- Short video on youtube about the self-proclaimed stateless territory of Catalonia 1936-1939

Anarchism 101 with Noam Chomsky <- Noam chomsky gives a short talk on anarchism. Loads more info and stuff related to chomsky can be found at Chomsky.info

Spunk Library <- Literature in electronic format with an emphasis on anarchism and related issues. And for anyone interested I found this article on the front page detailing the soaking of John Prescott by Chumbawamba (All together now "I get knocked down but I get up again......")

Links suggested by MS Mosher:

Anarchist Strategy

Anarchist Studies

Crimethinc

Movie about Spanish Anarchism

Jewish anarchism movement film

Anarchism in America

And finally ladies and gentleman if you would be so kind as to stand and pay your respects to Pierre Joseph Proudhon and his seminal work -> What is property? An Inquiry into the Principle of Right and of Government

And I will leave you with one final thought - "Why do anarchists always drink herbal tea? Because proper tea is theft"
