From reading and learning.
Also, reading Wealth of Nations has made me realize that Marxism is really only further evolution on Adam Smith's ideas. They're not really contradictory at all. |

Because I realized something wasn't right, and that no one should have to live in poverty, or under an oppressive regime. Then for a long time I searched for what the solution was. I haven't been in this group for very long, because I didn't know Socialism was the answer.
I guess I was always a socialist, because i've always considered myself a good and just person and always despised being viewed as a peasent in a nation that is sustained by the working classes, yet doesn't seem to realize it, I was just afraid to call myself that because it sounded too much like communism, which sounded too much like change, which is too much for most minds to handle. Luckily i'm not one of those minds anymore. |

When I actually started thinking about politics, so 4/5 years ago maybe?
It just made more sense to me.
Plus my family have always benefited from social programmes. I wouldn't be where I am today without them.

Started getting more aware of it from punk bands like The Clash, Refused, Orchid, etc but never took it seriously until the past year or so. Although, for the past few years I always identified myself as an "Anarcho-syndicalist" which translates to Libertarian Socialism. |
