I have to say, pot tea tastes better than bag-in-a-mug tea, though I frequently make the latter for time's sake ...I've inherited my parents' taste for Assam. And of course NO SUGAR.

SUGAR IS FOR BISCUITS.

I'm with TheUnholy (neva thought I'd say that) Pot tea is much better! And, as an alternative to sugar, I usually swirl a little honey into mine I'm with TheUnholy (neva thought I'd say that) Pot tea is much better! And, as an alternative to sugar, I usually swirl a little honey into mine

I find the trick is to keep the tea moving, add a nice PG pyramid bag, keep stirring, add your sugar, keep stirring, slowly add your milk while stirring with the other hand.

Enjoy.

I have so many different kinds at home, Orange Pekoe, Rwanda, Assams by the dozen and a hella good Earl Grey. What I'll do is, I take a heaped teaspoonful of the loose tea leaves and put them in the pot. Add the boiled water, get my First World War mug, a good teastrainer and some milk. It's the only way. Kivarenn82, finally someone knows about Orange Pekoe, the greatest of all teas, I didn't know about releasing the aromas in that way though, fantastic. Which Orange Pekoe do you prefer - broken leaves or full leaves?
