Thoughts on the new album...

k00kie M0nster

I recently purchased the Kooks' new album, Konk, and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I enjoyed See The Sun, Always Where I Need To Be, Mr. Maker and Sway, but still not as much as my favorites on the other album. I thought a lot of it was really garbage, very fake and electronic sounding, and it felt like they put no effort into writing these tunes. On inside in / out i loved the feel of almost every song, and it really blew me away. But unfortunately I have to give Konk a thumbs-down. Any other thoughts? I was pretty dissapointed on the first view too, but after some time i really liked most of the songs, especially see the sun, tick of time and mr. maker. don't like i wanna though.

all in all i think the deapth in lyrics musical avantgardness and also difficulty is much lower than at inside in /inside out, but that doesn't stop me from really enjoying to listen to the songs.
