The Manic Street Preachers are a Welsh rock band who first started to become popular in the 1990s. The band consists of James Dean Bradfield (vocalist and lead guitarist), Nicky Wire (lyricist and bassist), Sean Moore (lyricist and drummer) and formerly Richey James Edwards (co-lyricist and guitarist) until his mysterious dissapearance in 1995. They are well known for their controversial lyrics and nihilistic views.
