There are plenty, just search around. A band's webstore usually has good prices (my Infected Nations shirt cost £10 off the Earache store). |

You've n idea how many albums have 'limited edition' plastered all over them when they're actually just a bog-standard reissue. Its a trick of the trade, if it has 'limited editon z0mfg' all over it then it'll sell more. Simple as that, get with it boy.
In other, less n00by news, I bought the following;
Massacra - Final Holocaust (literally the ony good thing to ever come out of France)
Massacre - From Beyond (becuse some weeaboo faggot stole te last three copies I've owned)
Sabbat UK - A History of Time to Come (Again, because some fag stole my last copy) |

Technically it is limited though- As in, they won't re-print it after the initial run has sold out. That doesn't restrict them from making said run 500,000 copies strong, however |

For some reason though, I usually rather buy a plain normal version of the CD than a fancy "limited edition". Firstly, because the normal version is usually cheaper, and secondly, because the normal feels like I have the original album (even if the "remaster"/"re-release" on the side is a turn-off) on my record shelf instead of a "fancy" stickered cardboard version of it. Nothing wrong with posters etc. though... and I think I might buy one if the price happens to be right.
One thing I doubt I'll buy again though (unless I can't get it any other way); a two in one CD like my Consvming Impvlse/Testimony of The Ancients. Yes, it's tempting; two for the price of one, but it just doesn't feel right. A friend of mine laughed at me when he saw that CD on my shelf. |

Why cover a half decent denim jacket in patches? I don't like being a walking billboard for various bands. A good denim jacket with a decent band shirt underneath looks pretty awesome at the right time, I think a patchfest would wreck it.
I stick patches on rucksacks instead for some reason. |

IMO Obituary are pretty boring. Too slow and sludgy, not enough tremelo picking and blastbeats.

Lol, nothing wrong with the vocals IMO. I think they have made some rather good stuff, I like Cause of Death for example, but I just don't listen to them much cause they're a bit boring when compared to bands like Death, Pestilence and Atheist. |

They opened with Highway Star, but I can't remember if they did the dual, but I think so. I don't think they played Child in Time, but I'm not really a fan and I'm not very familiar wth their stuff anyways so I could be wrong. Twas a decent gig though, but it was weird cause none of them were original members. I guess some of them have been in the band almost since the beginning though. |

Deep Purple has basically been 3 separate bands, there haven't been any founding members since the mid 80s IIRC.
And I'm fairly sure they will have done CiT, Fred. It's a staple. |

Also, absinthe that came in test tubes.

I love both Cynic and Atheist. They're not all that similar.
So, just ordered the re-release of Sodom's Agent Orange (which won't arrive until it's released on the 30th January...). Also bought Tortured Existence and Epidemic of Violence by everyone's favorite thrash/death band.

They weren't a band that got trapped in that "I want to explore and create new music but I can't cause it has to be this certain type of metal also"-mindset and I for one respect that. I don't know, to me Focus is more of a jazz fusion album than a metal album even though the metal aspect is still probably even more on display.
You could say that the difference between these 2 bands is like between types of jazz; the other one's like bebop while the other is cool jazz for example. Actually, the difference is actually almost bigger than that tbh because Atheist is like metal coloured with jazz fusion while Cynic is jazz fusion coloured with metal. With Cynic, everything flows smoothly whereas with Atheist the changes between the jazzy parts can be really sudden and abrupt. Both work really well though IMO. |

Oh, I love depressing music. Ahab, Electric Wizard etc... listening to that that kind of music for hours when I'm down has a great uplifting effect on me.
The only music that truly depresses me as of now would have to be Radiohead. It's just so sad...

Oh, an ITP shirt. I'd love to have one of those, though I'm quite content with my Human shirt.
I can't seem to find a good Symbolic shirt around here, the only one I've found so far looks like this:

But if your only looking for albums by such bands you shouldn't really have any problem finding what you need from the web. Can't blame him Luckily (or rather sadly) I'm the only one at my school who wears any metal shirts that aren't by In Flames or Cradle of Filth.
Hm, I can't decide which Death album is my favorite, either Human or Symbolic. I have the feeling that I haven't listened to ITP too closely, I need to pay more attention to it.
And to the dude who wants to order metal CDs, just look on amazon. I got practically all of my Testament, Megadeth etc. CDs from there and they were cheap, too. Even got Demolition Hammer for a reasonable price.
EDIT: Damnit, beaten to it.

That's why it's ok to download the album before purchasing the music, although listening to it from youtube is usually enough.
Also, where do you get cheaper band shirts than their albums?
And since you mentioned them, I really need to buy Focus and Unquestionable Presence. Those are among my top fave albums of all time and I've been looking for a good bargain on 'em for along time since I first missed the chance to get a decent priced copy of Focus. |

Most of the time not cheaper per se, but pretty much equal. An album of the aforementioned bands costs 16-20€ on Amazon, so I bought three shirts that cost just as much instead. I only buy albums that cost less than 10€, there's enough of them out there... for example, I got Terrible Certainty and Extreme Aggression for 6€ each, that's what I call a bargain. Although in Coroner's case, the shirt was clearly cheaper than an album. Paid 15 for it, Mental Vortex costs 25€.
It must also be considered that bands get a whole lot more of money for merch than albums.

Yeah, me too. Amazon has Focus for 10€, but I really want the re-release, which costs twice as much.
