Any accomplishments you've had as a trumpeter, your highest note that you can (cleanly) hit, lowest note you can (cleanly) hit, anything that might inflate your ego.
Here's mine:
I've won 5 silvers (3 for solo, 2 for ensemble) in a regional Solo/Ensemble festival
3 golds (1 for solo, 1 for ensemble, 1 for duet)
Trumpet solo in a band concert (Folk Song Suite by R. Vaughan Williams)
Highest note is a double-G
Lowest is... I don't know
And I'm the loudest trumpet player.
So... that's all the stupid egotistical crap that trumpet players are known for, post away!

ego's are overrated. i was told that i was the least egotistical, attention seeking, first trumpet that my last honors concert conductor had ever met. now that i have that out of the way:
i was always too busy for solo ensemble stuff except my senior year. which i got a perfect score on a duet in.
highest note: not sure but at least a double-E
lowest i have no clue. probably the lowest possible for the trumpet.

I try not to focus on my ego. It's just stereotypical that trumpet players are known for having large egos, and seeing as this is the largest trumpet group on UG, I felt we could have a little fun with it.
It's not like most of that stuff really matters, because what it all comes down to is how you play and express yourself. You seem to have come to accept that. Some of the trumpets in my band are very subtly egotistical, and some are rather obvious about it.

Oh, I was just doing my "Columbian Drug Lord" pose. That was the first time I had ever worn a tux, and my date was wearing a pink dress so I had to match her. |

Okay fellow trumpets, say hello to Figs. I am 1st chair, 2 votes from band president, and soon to be an all state trumpet player.
By the way, I got jipped out of being band president, because I won the popular vote, and the director announced to the class that it wasn't a popularity contest, and that, with that in mind, we were going to re count the vote.
I should have kicked his ass. Stupid baritone player is just jealous because he was never recognized behind his band's kick ass trumpet player in high school. |

Hmm. Got all the way down to a D way below the staff on pure amboucher one time. I can go up to an Eb. I'm in too small a town to do competition at all. I have gotten drafted into the local adult orchestra for musicals, big band, and another band supporting a local singer. Plus all the high school stuff. |
